Skelmanthorpe Band gained a creditable 3rd place at the Leicestershire Brass Band Contest in November 2014. The band played Dances and Alleluias by Phillip Sparke under the direction of MD, Martin Hall.
The Band’s Solo Euphonium, Adam Turner won the “best instrumentalist” prize for his playing which Adjudicator Alan Morrison called “outstanding”.
