Despite giving a superb performance the Skelmanthorpe B Band was gracious in defeat when it was awarded Best third section band not in the prizes and sixth place over all, at the Pogson Bray Entertainment Contest. The band came away with prize money of £100, silverware and quite possibly one or two feelings of missed opportunities however spirits were soon lifted as the band now looks forward to its next entertainment contest, “BRASS FACTOR, 2012” at Holmfirth Picturedrome on Friday 30th November.
